Project Aim

Picture Perfect is a digital painting application targeted at kids visiting the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida, but was also accessible and engaging for all ages. The application was installed in the museum’s Art Connections exhibit, where guests could engage with art in a more tactile and hands-on way. The aim was to give users the ability to explore simple aspects of color theory with a low barrier and light activity. After they finish they are able to email their artwork to themselves.

After completing the project it became clear that more than just museums guests could enjoy this application, so in partnership with Cummer Museum we built an Apple Pencil -capable iPad App that built upon the original design. Users can now save their work to their iPad and return to it later.
